Comparison shopping as a concept is a fairly new one in India, a country which has just recently been exposed to regular online shopping. Further, due to the common perception of shopping in the offline mode being prevalent in the country, the initial reaction to the idea of shopping on the internet was not very favourable. However, thanks to the rapid spread of the inernet in the country, and the entry of major players into the online shopping scenario, comparison shopping is starting to shape up in an excellent manner.
