The online retail scenario in India has expanded in the last 4-5 years on a phenomenal scale, with many leading names in the Indian internet industry vying to grab the bigger share of the domain. Despite their being apprehensions initially regarding the quality and specifications of the product being ordered, thanks to the entry of international brands in the country and numerous checks on the payment procedure, a level of confidence has been built in the mind of the consumer. The Indian retail industry is expected to touch the $427 billion mark by 2010 & $637 billion by 2015, and currently contributes to 10 percent of the GDP of the country.
